Tayshia Adams and Chris Harrison Talked Before Katie Thurston’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season

Tayshia Adams just wrapped up her gig as mentor of Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, and no surprise here—reports say she, alongside Kaitlyn Bristowe, killed it! Despite coming in after Rachael Kirkconnell’s racist photo controversy and Chris Harrison’s insensitive comments about the pics (which resulted in him stepping back from the franchise, BTW), Tayshia says she spoke to Chris before stepping into a larger Bachelor role herself, calling him “supportive” of her and the show.

In an ~exclusive~ interview with us at Cosmopolitan, Tayshia revealed she and Chris “talked at the beginning of Katie’s season and he was really supportive of me. And he was excited that I had the opportunity. Yeah, no bad blood there.” Glad to hear it!

When we asked if Tayshia would be open to hosting The Bachelorette again, she gave fans a collective sigh of relief: “I would! I would. I think it was just such a fun experience. And I think I have a lot of insight and a lot of advice to contribute and help with,” she told Cosmo. “I genuinely want all these women, and men even, to come out in a loving relationship. If I can help inspire that at all, I will!”

According to an Us Weekly source, Tayshia “had fun [hosting] and loved doing it [the show]. She and Kaitlyn made a great team.” A separate Us source said Tayshia and Kaitlyn are “lovely to work with and they get along with the crew. It’s just completely different with them cohosting.”

Honestly? It sounds like the franchise is in great hands. June 7—aka Katie’s season premiere date—can’t come soon enough!
