Nick Jonas is on hosting duty tonight at the Billboard Music Awards, and his wife Priyanka Chopra joined him for the big night. Page Six reported ahead of the ceremony that Chopra will be a presenter tonight, in part to help Jonas, who is recovering from a cracked rib injury. “Priyanka is coming to LA from working in London to help Nick with his injury and to give him support,” a source told the outlet. “They have limited time in LA together, so she wanted to be there to support him.”
Chopra spoke to ELLE UK earlier this year about how the two cope with work dividing them often.
“We see each other every three weeks,” she said. “Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise we’d never see each other. Our teams also had to get married!” she laughed. “They have to talk to each other like, ‘I am scheduling her here. No, we can’t do it… This is when we’re free… We have to move this.’ It’s like a big marriage. It’s not just us but our families and teams, too.”
She added that with their two-year anniversary approaching, “it feels like so long but it also feels like a snap of a moment, too. I can’t explain. It’s so weird… I feel like I don’t remember what life was before I met him.”
