I Tried Bite’s New Whipped Cream Blush, and It Gave My Skin the Perfect Summer Glow

I’m a big-time blush fan, but I’d be lying if I said that I loved all blush formulas equally — creams are by far my favorites. So when samples of the Bite Beauty Daycation Whipped Cream Blush showed up at my door, I immediately started swatching the pigments, and let me just say: wow.

Bite Beauty Daycation Whipped Cream Blush comes in four shades: Melon Mojito, a peach shade; Watermelon Marg, a pink shade; Coconut Rum, a bronze shade; and Hibiscus Slush, a berry shade. It’s a lightweight cream consistency that really does feel whipped but dries to a soft, non-sticky finish. It’s ultra-pigmented with a touch of radiance, boasts dual application abilities on your eyelids, and can be applied with your fingertips, a makeup sponge, or a brush.

When I first applied the cream blush to the back of my hand I was shocked by the pigmentation. A very little bit goes a long way, which makes the $32 price tag pretty reasonable in my eyes. The radiant finish makes it great for glowy spring and summer makeup routines — something I’m very into at the moment thanks to the warm weather that finally made its way to New York.

I tried applying the Bite Beauty Daycation Whipped Cream Blush ($32) two different ways — using a brush and using just my fingers — and found I preferred a hybrid of the two: dabbing on the product with my fingertips before blending it more with a brush. What’s nice about the formula is it doesn’t dry too quickly so it’s fairly easy to blend. If you want to make sure you waste less product I’d recommend squeezing the blush bottle directly onto your cheeks but using a very light hand because a lot comes out.

I used the shade Melon Mojito, which is a beautiful glowy peach hue, but all of the shades are stunning. During the launch event with celebrity makeup artist Ash K Holm, she demonstrated that the Coconut Rum shade is great for draping all over your face for a bronzed, radiant no-makeup look. Unlike some cream or gel blush formulas, the Bite Beauty Daycation Whipped Cream Blush doesn’t rub off or migrate off of your cheeks after a long day. This makes me think it will hold up during a hot summer day, too. The finish of this blush alone is enough to make me fall in love with it, but I’m also a huge fan of how easy it is to apply. It’s safe to say this product is now a permanent addition to my makeup routine.
