Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s Friendship Is Reportedly ‘Moving in a Romantic Direction’

Much to the delight of anyone who paid attention to pop culture in the early aughts, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who famously broke up in 2004, have been hanging out again. They took a trip to the Yellowstone Club in Montana last week and have reportedly been in touch every day since.

Per a source for Us Weekly, Affleck and Lopez might be heading out of friend territory and into something more romantic.

“[She] has feelings for Ben. They are taking it slowly, but things are moving in a romantic direction,” the source told the publication.

The source also said that Lopez “isn’t trying to rush into anything romantic” and that “Jen really enjoyed her trip to Montana and is really loving Ben’s friendship.”

This news follows Lopez’s breakup from Alex Rodriguez that, according to Peoples source, she initiated “She has been pretty miserable and didn’t think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex,” the source said. The source added: “They both liked spending more time together as a family, but it was difficult to keep that special spark when they saw each other every day.”

Another source told Us that Rodriguez is hoping he and Lopez can work things out: “Alex was jealous that Jen and Ben were seeing each other. He’s still holding out hope they can reconcile.”

Rodriguez and Lopez began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019.

At the beginning of this year, Affleck and his girlfriend of less than one year, Knives Out actress Ana de Armas, also split.

“Ben is no longer dating Ana,” the source said. “She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles.”

Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and Lopez shares her twins, Emme and Max, with ex husband Marc Anthony.
